Welcome to Coaching Lancashire

Lancashire Sport Partnership is one of four County Sport Partnership using a data management system in the North West.

Lancashire Sport Partnership hopes to develop Coaching Lancashire into a 'one stop shop' information and management tool, for coaches and employers of coaches in the North West.

This information and management tool will help us build a picture of existing coaching being undertaken, and the existing and future needs of coaches and coach employers in the North West.

Who should register on this site?

We are looking for the following people and organisations to register on this site

  • A coach looking for qualifications and training opportunities
  • A coach looking for employment
  • A coach who wants to keep informed of developments in coaching/ local events
  • An organisation looking to make use of a volunteer or a paid coach

Regional Sports Co-ordinator

S2S is working in partnership with the Coalfields Regeneration Trust to appoint a Regional Sports Coordinator for the North West coalfield region of England to undertake the following:

  • To implement Coalfields Regeneration Trust sport and fitness development programme as part of the Sports Legacy project
  • To increase participation in sport and active recreation, using ‘mini olympics’ style events as the catalyst to new community activity
  • To create sustainable activity through volunteer development
  • To create clear progressive pathways for volunteer coaches’ participants, clubs and community groups.
  • To increase awareness of the health benefits of physical activity through advertising, promotion and a programme of activities for target groups in target communities
  • To develop partnerships in the delivery of the ‘Sports Legacy’ project
  • Use sport as a mechanism to encourage those who are disaffected and disengaged to take part in sport, regeneration and citizenship.

You must have:

  • A minimum general education to A level standard or equivalent (e.g. NVQ level 3 Sport and Recreation and relevant coaching experience)
  • Level 2 coach with two years coaching experience in any discipline
  • Experience of organising a competitive event

Successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check
