The Football League Trust and The Football Association are working in partnership with three football clubs and three County Football Associations to establish three Disability Football Development Officer positions in the North West of England.
The specific post partnerships are Lancashire FA and Burnley Football Club, Tranmere Rovers Football Club and Cheshire County FA, and Oldham Athletic Football Club and Manchester County FA. Post holders will be located with both partners for half of the working week. The employer of each post will be the latter mentioned partner.
Each role encompasses the following areas:
* Growth and Retention - increasing and sustaining disabled player participation
* Raising Standards - creating a safe and positive environment for disabled people
* Better Players - implementation of Playground to Podium, management of the Disability Centre of Excellence and CAADC programme
* Running the Game - establishing effective playing structures for disabled people and securing investment into disability football
* Workforce - developing a grassroots volunteer workforce including coaches, referees, administrators and club welfare officers
To apply you need to be of graduate calibre, have experience in sports development and an understanding of work of the Football League Trust and The FA National Game Strategy. You need to be passionate about and committed to the development of football at a local level. You must be able to work under pressure, handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate both team working and the ability to work unsupervised. Candidates should also have excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. You need also to have a current driving licence and also be able to work evenings and weekends.
