A coach (hours to be agreed) is required to drive and develop a growing tennis programme. The club has a full time Sports Development Officer who has supported the cricket, hockey and football sections to develop thriving junior sections and this is the vision for tennis. Ideally the successful candidate will be: •Level 2 Tennis/ DCA qualified •Ability to work with groups •Experienced in delivering mini, junior and adult tennis including competitive opportunities •A can do attitude •Ability to motivate and encourage young people and adults of all ability levels •Keenness to develop Sale Sports Club offers a range of activities on site including Cricket, Tennis, Football, Hockey and Rugby. The tennis section has three astro and three hard courts with floodlighting to ensure tennis can be played all year round. Tennis currently runs 10+ group coaching sessions per week and a multi sport (including tennis) holiday programme. The club is looking to appoint a flexible and highly motivated tennis coach to deliver and develop the clubs coaching programme for both adult and junior members, school club links and with the responsibility for developing new assistant coaches. Working closely with the Sports Development Officer and the Tennis Committee, the post holder will also establish, develop and maintain competitive opportunities for junior members to support the sections achievement of Club Mark. This role also offers the opportunity of development for someone who wants to expand their coaching as the club offers additional sport specific and non-sports specific coaching opportunities. We are looking for someone with the potential to develop. We will offer the right candidate a personal development plan, support from our Sports Development Officer and a retainer.
