The Greater Manchester borough of Rochdale is seeking to recruit a competition manager to work in an exciting strategic role across the borough in partnership with Cardinal Langley and Siddal Moor School Sport Partnerships and the Link4life (Rochdale Boroughwide Cultural trust).
The post will be hosted with Link4life as part of their Neighbourhood and Communities Team based in Rochdale and will be required to work across the borough on the National Competition Framework and local priorities for competition linked to the competition strands of PESSYP and the development of sustainable pathways for all young people.
"We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed and experienced member of staff who can rise to the challenge of the multifaceted role in order to build on the existing provision to develop a more co-ordinated approach to high quality competition.
We need a 'self starter' who will be able to work closely with partners and especially engage with the boroughs club network. You will be able to work with people at all levels showing great leadership and the ability to deliver on projects.
You must also be able to show that you can monitor and review and use this information to inform future provision, and link into the Greater Manchester network and the National Governing Bodies of Sport."
This post will initially be fixed term until March 2011. The extension of the post will be subject to the National PESSYP funding review as with other Competition Manager roles across the country.
