Wyre and Fylde SSP are seeking to appoint a committed Physical Education and sport enthusiast, as the Deputy Partnership Development Manager for the Wyre & Fylde School Sport Partnership.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and motivated professional. The Wyre & Fylde School Sport Partnership is a successful and innovative partnership which is in its fifth year.

The successful candidate will have a key role in supporting schools and community groups to work towards the five-hour sport offer for young people. The post will be based at Fleetwood Sports College and will involve the day to day running of the partnership, project management of various funded strands within PESSYP, staff management, monitoring and evaluation and the co-ordination of links between the partner schools and colleges.

Development and maintenance of links with wider community partners will also be needed to create sustainability, school to community pathways and the wider development of sport within the area.

The post holder will need to demonstrate excellent leadership and project management skills, and have a good understanding of PE and school sport in primary, secondary and special schools.

Salary: £28,000 - £34,307 p.a, pro rata

Contract: 3 Days per week initially until August 2011
